Superbowl Fun!

Friday, February 1, 2013
Our week was busy! Today we had Superbowl Fun. We started out with PE, then Superbowl devotions about going for our dreams and not giving up, then for math the kids worked Common Core problems to come up with the answers for their football glyphs:

I must say, they turned out pretty cute! We ended the day with a lesson on teamwork. Students were given 15 pieces of spaghetti, 1 yard of tape, 1 yard of ribbon, and 1 marshmallow to create the tallest free standing structure within 18 minutes. They had tons of fun. I asked them what they learned about working in a group and they had great answers.

Earlier this week we created "Sarah Bishop Instagrams" for our core literature book. What would Sarah Biship Instagram?

We also finished our multicultural project - Chinese dragons. We discussed the meanings of the dragons in Chinese culture, and what all the colors mean.

No wonder I am tired! :)  It's been a busy week!
