Today I am blogging about two great web 2.0 tools. The first is Kikutext! It is a tool to connect parents and teachers via text messaging without giving out phone numbers! I don't know about you, but I don't give my parents my personal number. Here is a way to connect:

The next site that is really cool is "Three Ring". It is like a digital binder to share student work with families. It allows teachers to securely add student photos of work. Just use your smartphone, take a pic, and load. The pictures may be later used for assessment, conferences, or exemplars. Check it out!
Have you used either of these tools? If so, please share and let me know how you like them!

ReplyDeleteI have never used either tool but I just signed up on three ring. I can't wait to try it with my class. I have a question. Are parents able to view their child's work from home? And if they can what do they do to see it? Sign up?
ReplyDeleteThis looks really cool. I'm going to load some of my daughters things now to really see it in work. Thanks for the share!

This looks really neat. I was planning on using Remind 101 this year, but I'll have to check this one out as well. Just found your blog through the hop and am your newest follower. I teach fourth grade and I'd love it if you stopped by.:)
